The bent wood newspaper holder was commonplace in 19th-century Viennese cafes. The Zeitungshalter was handmade by a family run business until the passing of their craftsman a few years ago. These pieces of Viennese history are fortunately available again and are still handmade in Vienna.  Zeitungshalter’s simple and sustainable design brings an elegant ease to the method of reading newspapers and periodicals to the 21st century.
