Banshu Hamono - Tsume Thread Scissors

Banshu Hamono evolved from a family business of blacksmiths to a project of a young couple wishing to keep alive the old art of Katana craft in the Banshu region of Japan. Each piece is made by hand by skilled craftsmen using the same techniques that have been employed for generations.

Traditionally used for cutting thread and fabric, these 120 mm scissors are handmade from a single rod of high carbon “Ao-hagane” blue steel. Not to be used to cut metal or wood. These are unique and unable to be mass produced due to the level of craftsmanship

Scissors are wrapped in beautiful textile and packaged in washi paper gift box
