Set of 3 long candles & 1 candle stand

This is a Warosoku (Japanese candle) made from natural Haze (sumac) wax with special salt for purification. Beautifully handcrafted by artisans, each candle uses a traditional wick made with washi Japanese paper, unique to Warousoku.

These candles are part of the World Religion traditional candles from Haze. They make a reference to the three world religions Buddhism, Christianity and Hinduism and walking the middle path in life.

Unkei, 1150 – 1223, was a Japanese scultpor in the Kamakura period. His work shows a flair for realism different from anything Japan had seen before. Today, he is considered the most distinguished sculptor in art history.

The approximate burn time per candle is 90 minutes.
