IC Design Classics - Sophie Taeuber-Arp - Candlesticks "Bauhaus"

Candlesticks designed in 1929 by Sophie Taeuber-Arp for her home in Meudon-Clamart. This edition was realized in collaboration with the Fondation Arp, Clamart and the help & expertise of Gérard Lo Monaco, Paris. Packaged in decorative gift box.

The 4 candlesticks have a simple cylindrical and orthogonal  form. They inspired the artist couple Sophie Taeuber & Hans Arp and fit harmoniously with their own furniture designs in their home in Meudon-Clamart, in the outskirts of Paris. 

The wooden candle stick is painted in 4 basic Bauhaus colours (red, yellow, blue, white) and fits taper candles. It is crafted in the Black Forest, Germany and the brass insets are crafted in Switzerland.

Never leave burning candles unattended. Extinguish the candle before it burns down completely. Overflowing and excessively hot wax can damage the candle holder. Therefore, please replace the candle when there is still a small amount of wax remaining. This will protect the candle holder.
